In slow-moving traffic, the all-electric Audi A2 can be switched to Semi-Autonomous Drive, allowing the driver to cede control of the vehicle.
The concept car also comes with Wi-Fi capability to allow continuous internet access while on the move.
The futuristic hatchback was one of the main attractions of this year’s International Motor Show in Frankfurt.
Other features include touchpads either side of the steering wheel which replace the indicator and windscreen wiper units found in normal cars.
Keeping with the innovative theme, the sunroof can be switched between opaque and clear at the touch of a button. The battery-powered car can travel up to 124 miles between charges, under ideal conditions.
A production version of the A2 should be ready by 2013.
This could become something revolutionary.
